The ecological refurbishment of ‘Gorley House’, courtyard terraces of listed Alms Houses and Flats in Dover required retrofitting renewable energy systems. Solar Thermal systems were chosen as the best value option and comprised Air Source heat pump outdoor units, Hydrobox indoor units, Altherma fan coil units and solar roof panels. The Solar roof panels were fitted to the rear elevation South facing roofs for best efficiency which also minimised any visual effects of the work to the front facing roofs. The fixing kits included unvented hot water cylinders solar controller, pumping station and expansion vessels.
